The event promises to be an exciting and unforgettable experience as it combines the fanfare and thrill of a typical race meet with the dramatic and dusty desert landscape. With a staggering $330,000 prize money on offer, the racing is serious business, and trainers and jockeys from all over the country will be competing to win the famous Birdsville Cup.

Over a 13-race program racegoers can witness top-class racing in the heart of Australia's outback. The carnival attracts over 6000 attendees each year who enjoy two days of quality outback racing and three great nights of live entertainment. Apart from the races, the event also includes the RFDS Gala, RFDS Fun Run, Fashions on the Field, live entertainment at the Birdsville Hotel, a variety of food vendors, a giant auction, and much more.


THE ROADIES
Being a Birdsville Races Roadie is an added advantage for ticket holders. It's a free membership that enhances your travelling and race experience, providing you with the ability to connect and travel with other Roadies, suggested routes from most capital cities, fantastic rally-style door stickers to display your colourful "team name" with pride, exclusive merchandise, and Roadies membership cards for competitions and discounts. A Roadies membership is a must-have for anyone attending the Birdsville Races.

Roadies membership includes two rally-style Roadies vehicle door stickers per vehicle and one member card per ticket booked. For group bookings where attendees are travelling in separate vehicles, additional stickers (2 per additional vehicle) can be provided. 


VOLUNTEER
Volunteering at the races is also an excellent opportunity to make the event happen and experience it from a unique perspective. Volunteering is a challenging, rewarding, and exciting experience that allows you to be part of a small, supportive, and fun team of like-minded people. As a volunteer, you'll receive complimentary general admission entry tickets and exclusive Birdsville Race Club merchandise. Register your interest in volunteering during the ticket purchase process or via the website. For those who pre purchase their tickets and would still like to volunteer, you will be gifted a merchandise voucher to the value of Friday and Saturday GA entry instead.
