Evvy George & The Big Bird Band - Sweet Victoria Single Launch

On Saturday 9th May at 2pm, Evvy George will be launching not only his debut single "Sweet Victoria", but also an extended, all-star lineup of musicians known as "The Big Bird Band". The band will feature Fergus Kuhar (tubs), Kyle Brew (pedal steel), Jarrah Ma (piano) as well as members of Evvy's regular backing band, "The Aviary"- Laleshwari Hodgkins (banjo), Jordy Hickey (upright bass) and Taylor Jaques (vocals).
Evvy George's songs, which are peppered with bird references, explore themes spanning from interpersonal neurobiology to aussie rules football and beyond. Most of which are grounded by a danceable honky tonk groove or a sonic hug reminiscent of 70s harmony-dense Americana bands like Crosby Stills Nash or The Grateful Dead.
