Amber Mic Presents Indigo Nights at The Back Room (Annerley, QLD) on Friday, 24 September 2021
"Lockdown is over & live music is back in Brisbane!!!

Amber Mic is a Melbourne based national booking agency who host shows all across Australia.

Indigo Nights is a night we run to bring the good vibes to the people and get them grooving to the music of our selected lineup of indie bands.

This Indigo Nights show at The Back Room at Chardons Corner Hotel in Brisbane on Fri Sept 24th features Brisbane indie bands LAVELIN, Hazel Mei, Scouthouse & Ban Solo.

Hailing from the Gold Coast LAVELIN is a striking and emotionally-intelligent Indie Pop Artist. Selling out headlining shows and supporting internationally renowned band The Delta Riggs on their recent national tour, LAVELIN Is taking the Australian East Coast Music scene by storm. Mesmerizing audiences with her rare ability to explore her psyche through song. LAVELIN wears her heart on her sleeve as she writes and performs her truth with outspoken integrity. The singers emotive voice is enthralling and her songs are rich with unforgettable melodies. Influenced by the works of like-minded artists Julia Jacklin, Aldous Harding, Lana Del Rey, Julia Stone and Joni Mitchell, LAVELIN is on the rise to make a riveting impact in Australian Music and becoming a perpetually reclaimed artist.

With an air of poise and attitude, Hazel Mei is embracing the rich tapestry that is modern music to create a sound of her own; indie pop with a jazz-tinted underlay. From the flowering streets of Brisbane, Australia, the songstress' introspective writing style captures her whimsical, though slightly cynical outlook on the day to day.

Hazel's work to date has been a collection of moments like these; from contemplating new romance, poking fun at the fickle nature of independence, to personifying her inner demons. She speaks to the dreamer in you, but also the fighter. Her debut EP 'Lost & Found' has captured the hearts of many as she finally shares the magic in her distinct and intricately woven sound. From stereo to stage, she blends thoughtful arrangements with vocal prowess.

After finding their footing in 2019, Brisbane 4 piece Scouthouse are heading into 2021 with fresh ideas to evolve their sound. Drawing inspiration from music icons like The Strokes & The Pixies, the boys are looking to add new fans to their growing audience

Ban Solo are a Gypsy Indie Rock band inspired by The Kooks and Sticky fingers. Formed in Brisbane by a group of friends, Ban Solo isn't your typical indie band. Incorporating elements of Punk, Funk, Rock and Hip Hop into a Psychedelic Brit Rock blend of pure awesomeness, they are a hot saucy band with sounds and flavours that need to be heard. In all Ban Solo have fresh and funky songs that everyone wants to sing and grooves that will get everybody going!

These boys love a party and certainly know how to throw one. If you're ever in the neighbourhood, drop in to a show and get ya boogie on!
