In May 2011, a whole new beast was birthed in Melbourne's boho music scene — an 8-legged feline that dances to a different genre with every foot, without missing a beat. Fifteen years on, 8Foot Felix is a seasoned musical mayhem-monger dealing out dancing joy to all who come to the party. To celebrate their 15th lap around the sun, 8FF are shaping up a mega set that'll have you galloping with legs you didn't even know you had — and they've invited some fine friends to limber y’all up before they hit the stage.

GuriNgai sisters Charlie and Miri weave language, story and sound into vivid musical landscapes as the live-looping duo Charlie Needs Braces. Their magic has captivated audiences from festival stages across Australia to Folk Alliance International in New Orleans. Award-winners,Triple J darlings and ABC documentary features, their music is deep roots and living culture. Their latest album NYAA WA ("take care" in GuriNgai language) is a luminous call to protect the land, the waterways, and the stories that keep a people alive.

Gentle giant Taul Paul is a classically-trained pianist with one foot in the Baroque and one in the future — and somehow he makes it look effortless. Expect sweeping film scores and video game themes colliding with electronic beats and improvisational jazz, all held together by virtuosic hands that know exactly when to honour tradition and when to blow the roof clean off.
