Hazel and Roanna Law were raised on folk music and family harmonies in the heart of the Sunshine Coast. When you're born into folk music, it stays with you. Now based in NSW/Canberra they are carrying on the folk storytelling tradition. In 2021 they released their EP 'Finding Space' and in 2026 their debut album 'Safe Harbour'. 'Safe Harbour' is an ode to strength, travel, healing and childhood. 

North and Elsewhere were 2025 finalists in the Australian Folk Music Awards for Youth Artist of the Year and in 2026 they won the finals of the ListenUp Music Songwriting Prize (featuring lyrics with a mental health focus). Their songs reflect nature, childhood and connection; exploring what it means to be human amidst the often uncomfortable realities of a changing world.
