BOTTOM OF THE BARREL EASTER SHOWCASE ft. ZERO CITY
Dead Ed + Drowning Houdini + Gangrene Dream + The Styes + Primary High + Nothinge
The Workers Club (Fitzroy, VIC)
Saturday, 4 April 2026 3:00 pm
BOTTOM OF THE BARREL presents a showcase of local up and coming artists this Easter Saturday, featuring:
Zero City - A no-wave, noise, post-punk, post-rock and past caring about genre confines. Armed to the teeth with unique compositions, sophisticated musicianship and a lack of restraint, Zero City exists in the shadows between love & hate, chaos & calm, ecstasy & woe.
Dead Ed - With influences ranging from post-punk, blues, to Australian garage rock, Dead Ed is a newly formed alternative rock band from Naarm/Melbourne’s West.
Drowning Houdini - A revived and reimagined rock 'n' roll combination thrown in the meat grinder, seasoned with a sonic spice and thoroughly cooked on a rotisserie above volcanic coals. Taste it with your ears!
Gangrene Dream - A suburban psychedelic fuzz punk band known for high-energy, chaotic live performances. Emerging from the local scene (the "gack shack"), they deliver loud, raw, and often humorous garage punk noise.
The Styes - An energetic rock n' rollin group of mates from Frankston. They are known for their gnarly brew of jangle surf infused garage and loud blues, whatever it be, rock, roll, or both, it'll fill your bellies and get a little rowdy.
Primary High - Trash punk experimental tro.
Nothinge - Post-Punk / Cold-Wave Artist based in Naarm.
Enjoy an evening exemplifying the diverse, skilful and talented musicianship this city has to offer on a cheap ticket.
