NEW YEARS EVE with Dean & Carruthers

What a great live gig to see in 2027 with two absolute legends of the Victorian pub music scene!  Dean & Carruthers have been playing live music together for nearly 40 years - and set the template for what a duo can achieve in creating a party atmosphere and getting people up and dancing!

Terry Dean (oringinal frontman of the legendary Oz band Bluestone) & Gary Carruthers (who has played with artists such as The Flood, Kasey Chambers, Troy Cassar-Daley) got together in 1984, embarking on a partnership that would reshape the expectations of what a two-man band could achieve. Relying strictly on raw instrumentation and a natural, brother-like vocal blend, the duo famously created a massive sound that uncannily mimicked a full band without ever using pre-recorded backing tracks, with their pub residencies during the 80s and 90s becoming legendary throughout Melbourne, particularly their packed-out New Boundary Hotel residency which ran every Saturday night from 1985-1994.

After such a wonderful career this iconic Melbourne duo had called it "a day" earlier this year after performing their 5000th gig together, however the iconic Hepburn Palais has convinced them to play JUST ONE MORE show together for our 100th New Years Eve!  Don't miss your LAST CHANCE to see this superb duo LIVE as we have it on good authority from both guys that this will be Dean & Carruthers LAST EVER SHOW so come dance the night away!  

With "Early Bird" tickets priced at JUST $30, and all drinks at our usual menu prices, we've tried to give you every reason to make Hepburn Palais your NYE celebration destination!  Whilst all tickets are technically "GA (standing room)" tickets, there will still be plenty of unreserved seating available throughout the venue and bandroom area.

Hepburn Palais does NOT have a kitchen, so we recommend you enjoy dinner at one of the many local restaurants in Hepburn & Daylesford, then come along to see in the new year with a show that it is guaranteed to get you partying!!!!
