Ready to rumble? Featuring members of Plastic Section, Ben Rogers Instrumental Asylum, Les Yeye Girls and The Vibrajets, The Wraylettes preach the rock'n'roll gospel of their musical guru, explosive Shawnee guitarist Link Wray! Formed in 2017, the band has played with such luminaries as The Stompin’ RiffRaffs, Tex Perkins & the Fat Rubber Band, Lord Rochester, The Let’s Gos, The Beasts of Bourbon and The Cruel Sea (who they supported on their 30th-anniversary Honeymoon is Over tour in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney last year). With a set comprised of Link’s hits, near-misses and outright obscurities, plus a couple of originals inspired by the great man, The Wraylettes put their own sassy spin on his songs while staying true to his untamed spirit. They don’t unleash their fierce fuzzed-out sounds very often – but when they do, it’s always, ahem, WRAYdioactive

El Rollo puts surf music through the blender, turns up the heat and serves up a scorching guitar soaked take (with a slight twist of swamp and psychedelia) on one of rock’s most loveable genres. El Rollo’s music is fresh, vibrant, punchy and amazingly danceable. El Rollo are: Sara Beale – saxophones – attended The University of Melbourne completing a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Teaching and a Master of Music majoring in Performance. Sara has performed at the World Saxophone Congress in the U.S.A. She has recently performed with The Melbourne Saxophone Ensemble, Orchestra Victoria, CSQ and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Mark Finsterer – guitar – composer, teacher jazz performer who has written for film, theatre, art installations and studied composition with Maestro Franco Donatoni in Sienna, Italy Gazza Charles – drums – a strong background in blues including with the Blues Sheiks and Oozin’ Blues and more recently with the Van Morrison Tribute band. Ross Farnell – bass – member of Beargarden, a much-loved 80s indie pop band that had meteoric success and an equally spectacular implosion. Ross has since played in bands fronted by Brian Mannix, Mick Pealing and Tottie Goldsmith. Doc White – guitar, vocals – an award-winning songwriter, composer and actor was a mostly solo blues artist plying his trade around the country for nearly 40 years until the call of surf sounds could no longer be ignored.
