45 years ago Little Murders released the single “Things Will Be Different” on Au Go Go Records. The single put Little Murders and Au Go Go on the musical map quickly selling out two pressings and garnering praise from around the world including BOMP!.
In 1981 they were the leading Mod band in Melbourne releasing 3 more singles and the STOP album.
Between then and now Little Murders have released 8 studio albums, 2 compilations and a live album: toured Japan: had a doco made about them: recorded in Los Angeles and he even had international and local artists record their songs for a Tribute album.
Which brings us to the here and now. On Saturday October 19th Little Murders release their 9th studio album “Under Northern Lights” at Odeon Richmond. 11 new songs including the single “Wait Til The Summer Comes/Tonight Tonight Tonight”
Written and sung by Rob Griffiths featuring lead guitar by Rod Hayward (Dave Grayney & the Coral Snakes) drums by Shane Loahoar (Blue Medic) and bass by Bruce Minty (Jonestown) there are hints that this is their best yet. But we say that every time! Let’s just say it’s 11 great power pop songs with brilliant guitars and a pounding  rhythm. Fantastic harmonies courtesy of the band and guests Anna Burley (Killjoys) Mick Barclay and Barb Waters. Produced by Craig Pilkington who also adds keys and brass. Out through Off The Hip Records. It’s a winner.
