AKA Zeb

Best known for his hardware driven live house performances, multi-genre Dj sets, and catalogue of releases on labels including his own Villa Records, AKA Zeb has been cementing his place in the nation’s Music Capital, busy playing and producing since 2016.
In 2024, Zeb released his first Vinyl EP Thoughts and Expressions which has received plays from DJs such as Moodymann, Kai Alce, Ge-ology and many more. He has since followed up with his 2026 EP Westside Escapade, featuring vocals from local talents Vanessa and Alice Payne.
Zeb often performs live in and around town with his trusty MPC 1000, various synthesisers and drum machines, blending the deep and soulful house with instrumental jazz elements. Frequently joining him are musicians Uno Lizard on electric guitar, Tom Edwards on tenor saxophone and Marley Del Prete on trumpet, who all, not coincidentally, heavily feature on Zeb’s releases. His group performed at festivals such as Melbourne International Jazz Festival Night Crawl Curated by DJ and PBS FM radio Host Mike Gurrieri, Echo Beach by Finding Figaro and Outer Range. Zeb has also performed at Wonder Mountain 2025 in Fire Werks, a collaboration between Horatio Luna, On-Ly and himself.
