Maddison Breen is throwing a release party the night before her sophomore release, Little Dark Room. Usually a solo performer, the popular Gold Coast entertainer is taking bold new steps in performing with her very own band. Complete with support from Eimhin, Bodie Potter and Bianca Jay.
About Maddison Breen:
Maddison Breen is a UK born proud trans woman and indie-pop artist who has worked alongside some of Australia’s finest musicians, songwriters and producers.
Maddison became passionate with music in her early teens and quickly started performing in multiple bands and busking on the streets of Liverpool.
To this day, Maddison has collaborated with the likes of John Power (The La’s/Cast), Ian Prowse (Amsterdam/Pele), Alan McGee (Manager of Oasis), Amy Shark, Japanese Wallpaper and Brad Hosking.
Maddison Breen takes sonic inspiration from modern indie music to classic rock, creating classic songs with contemporary form. Theres more tumultuous noise to be made. Rock n Roll isn't dead, it's just catching its breath.
Her eponymous debut is a double sided suite of her native brit-pop and indie rock. A nostalgic nod to her influences from The Beatles to Coldplay, whom played such an important role in her evolution as a performer and songwriter.
After releasing her debut, Maddison was nominated for Musician of the year and Song Of the Year, for Odesa (feat., Amela) at the Gold Coast Music Awards in 2025. She recently has announced her sophomore EP project, Little Dark Room to be released 04/12/2026.
About Bodie Potter:
Bodie Potter is a Gold Coast-based singer-songwriter blending indie, folk, pop and soul. With smooth vocals, soulful melodies and a laid-back coastal feel, his music brings together honest songwriting and warm acoustic sounds to create a style that is distinctly his own.
About Eimhin:
Punk, emo, and hardcore shows shaped his early years—loud, messy, relentless. But somewhere along the way, the songs softened, landing somewhere honest. The debut, Modern Mending (Of The Heart), was shaped by a season of undoing and becoming—wholehearted and vulnerable, written in the quiet work of moving forward, with a steadfast belief that love and compassion can change the world.
Eimhin (Ev-an) has taken these songs across Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, and Japan. On stage, there’s no script. One moment, he’s a silly, goofy guy. The next, the songs lean in close, inviting you to sit with the ache.
Currently working on a follow-up inspired by a return to Ireland, he explores themes of belonging and love lost, drawing from the landscapes and stories that shaped him. The project, set to be recorded in Tasmania with longtime collaborator George Carpenter and Chris Townend at Frying Pan Studio, carries a raw intimacy—born from the wild stillness of the place—while reaching for something vast, personal, and universal.
About Bianca Jay:
Bianca Jay is a Gold Coast-based alternative indie artist. She believes no activity is complete without the right music playing in the background. Life is just boring without being immersed in sound. Falling in love with guitar at the age of 17, she began writing her own songs alone in her bedroom.
Now at 23, Bianca has spent the past 2 years exploring her newfound love of sound design and recording. Her debut single ‘Someone Else to Call’ released earlier this year with the help of Producer and Drummer Harry Hart. Together, they blended infuences from artists like Billie Martin, Ruby Fields, Angie McMahon, Thrice, Orla Gartland, and Radiohead to create her signature alternative rock indie sound. A sound that strays from basic songwriting ideas. Unique, raw and honest music that, at times, is experimental and complicated, perfectly representing how deeply she feels and experiences the world.
This time around, Bianca Jay will be playing a solo set opening for Maddison Breen for her upcoming EP release ‘Swings and Roundabouts Over and Out’. It will be just her and a Guitar. A rare chance to see her original music stripped back to its most basic form.
