The Smith Street Band & Signals Midwest first met in 2012 in a bottle shop around the corner from 222 Ormsby - a small venue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Smith Street Band were about to play a show with Max Sterns other band, Meridian.

Over the following 14 years, both bands have toured America together, hung out in Europe & in 2018 Signals Midwest played at The Smith Street Bands festival Pool House Party at Coburg Velodrome. In 2013, Wil Wagner released the solo song ‘More Like Signals Midbest’ on his Laika album.

Signals Midwest are heading back to Australia this May to tour with Luca Brasi, they’ll also be teaming up once again with The Smith Street Band for two special shows in Belgrave & Geelong.
