TILLY VICKERS WILLIS 'SILVER HALIDE FILM' ALBUM LAUNCH

Melbourne musician Tilly Vickers Willis & her band welcome you into the darkroom to experience the making of her beautiful and haunting debut record, Silver Halide Film. Guided by the conventions of photographic processes, the performance will explore each song as a newly developed photograph, each with its own distinct, mysterious world, inky and wet to the touch. 

TVW crafts music that is utterly haunting in both tone and restraint, threading the shadowy textures of Portishead and Lamb through her own experimental lens. With a subtle noir undercurrent running throughout—cool, dimly lit, and quietly unnerving—the skeletal trip-hop drums and piano lines that drift rather than settle, place a singular spotlight on the singer’s arresting vocal delivery. 

Joined by a handpicked array of special guests (live + dj), the evening will drift seamlessly though an eclectic sonic palette, triphop, folk, dub, singer-songwriter & ambient sounds.
