Thom Johnston - 'By the Bedside' Album Launch

To accompany the release of Johnston's physical-only album 'By the Bedside', Thom Johnston and his band will take to the stage at the Railway Hotel's beautiful ballroom with support from special guests. The album is a self-taped collection of both originals and covers that otherwise be left unheard, featuring collaborations with a range of local and international talent. With the theme of 'By the Bedside', there will be a bed on stage with ticket holders encouraged to wear pyjamas/comfortable clothing. 
 
 Thom Johnston is as if Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen raised a child in Geelong. 
 
With an eye for contemporary style but roots in the classics, singer-songwriter Thom is just that: a voice for young people figuring themselves out, possessing the skill of making the ordinary worth documenting. Last year, the release of his debut single ‘Shiver’ led to thousands of streams across multiple platforms, radio interviews/features, government funding and a shortlisting in the American Songwriter Lyric Contest. Additionally Thom sold out multiple headline gigs within only the last 4 months of the year (including Bar Open, Brunswick Green and more).
 
Thom Johnston will be accompanied by his band: Jack Paraiso, Ali Harman & Nic Murray. The supporting lineup will be announced at a later date.
