Woodcutters return for a rare live performance.

For years, James Grim has quietly resisted the traditional path of the music industry. While best known as the explosive frontman of Brothers Grim and the Blue Murders, the songs of Woodcutters have largely remained hidden—revealed only through occasional, carefully curated live performances that have earned the project a loyal cult following.

Grim has long resisted recording or formally releasing the project, choosing instead to let these songs exist where they were written to be heard—in the room, in the moment, shared between band and audience.

On Saturday, August 1st, James Grim brings together a hand-picked lineup for one of these rare performances at Shotkickers.

An immersive afternoon of dynamic, drum-driven blues, dark country and personal storytelling. Woodcutters is music that builds slowly, hits hard, and draws every willing listener deep into its emotive world.

With special guests Brooke Russell and the Mean Reds and Rob Jones (Solo).
