Scott Bassham

For more than 30 years, Scott Bassham has carved his own path across stages throughout Australia, Ireland and the UK with a sound that’s impossible to pin down. Drawing on blues, folk, rock, Celtic traditions and a healthy dose of punk spirit, his performances are raw, joyful and full of heart. Armed with guitars, fiddle, vocals and live looping, Scott creates rich, dynamic performances that move effortlessly from intimate storytelling to foot-stomping grooves. A founding member of acclaimed Australian duo Ill-Starred Captain, with four albums to the band’s name, Scott has also released two solo albums, most recently Songs Behind the Sea (2024). Joined at the Wheatsheaf by special guest, and fellow Port Lincoln native, Josh Phillips, this promises to be an evening of wild-hearted sounds.
