Early Summer — 15 Years On

In 2026, Melbourne singer/songwriter Amaya Laucirica celebrates 15 years of Early Summer, her acclaimed second album and a firm favourite among her fans.

Originally released in late 2010, Early Summer marked a significant moment in Laucirica’s career. Selected as Triple J’s Feature Album, it was described by the station as “a wistful, tender affair, full of dreamy melodies and sublime layers of sound.” Writing for Mess & Noise, Doug Wallen praised the album for its “understatement and restraint” and concluded that it “puts the Melbourne songwriter towards the front of her class.”

The album arrived during a significant period for Laucirica, who was named among Rolling Stone Australia’s top ten voices in Australian music, nominated for Female Artist of the Year at The Age Music Awards, and toured alongside Mark Lanegan, Adalita and Blonde Redhead.

To celebrate Early Summer 15 years on, Laucirica reunites with the original musicians who brought the album to life — Andrew Keese, Richard Martin, and Andrew Cowie — with Wes Holland (Black Cab) joining on drums for this special performance.

A rare opportunity to hear Early Summer live again, 15 years on.

“It’s shimmer, it’s depth, it’s crisp arrangements… all gather to make it luxuriant, familiar, uplifting and blue all at the same time.”
— Adalita
