Seven Pound Halo began in Melbourne in 2022, when Max Paul started writing music as a personal passion project in the aftermath of the COVID pandemic. What started in his bedroom quickly evolved into a full band, with Avatar Rotstein on bass, Ben McLaughlin on lead guitar, and Thomas Kunz on drums. 

Blending emotionally raw Aussie garage rock, ’90s grunge, UK indie, and alternative psychedelic rock, Seven Pound Halo create a sound that feels both nostalgic and immediate. Layers of synth subtly cut through walls of distorted guitars, adding texture without losing the intensity at the core of the music. It’s loud, polished, and driven by raw expression that embraces imperfection rather than hiding from it.

Known for their high-energy live shows, the band has sold out venues across Melbourne and continues to build momentum through relentless gigging and a growing underground following. In late 2025, Seven Pound Halo took their DIY approach overseas, touring the U.K and performing across London, Nottingham, and Newcastle while gaining BBC Introducing East Midlands airplay along the way.

Achey Peace is a hard-hitting, genre-blurring band that fuses the raw energy of hard rock, the intensity of alt rock, and the heavy, sludgy riffs of sludge metal. Known for their powerful sound and relentless live performances, Achey Peace takes listeners on a journey through dark, gritty landscapes, blending heavy grooves with introspective lyrics and a raw, unfiltered edge.
