CLEARPILL BAND LAUNCH
The electric shoegaze grunge act Clearpill is debuting this August at William Street Bird in a twilight haze dreamscape. With the help of the ethereal Sam Jane, the soulful and the mellow Sunbleach and the wicked Scumlings, the night will involve prizes, so bring your whimsiest and your dreamiest decor.
Clearpill brings whimsy rock, earthy tones peering through a moonlit night, capturing all the heart can't speak and laying it over a driving guitar. Drawing influence from acts like PJ Harvey, Mazzy Star and Killing Heidi, Clearpill brings glimmering vocals that soar over a rumbling guitar bringing a dreamy sound to the alt rock genre.
Sam Jane is an ethereal artist of the indie folk genre, bringing a true pulse of nature in her emotive songs.
Sunbleach are an indie rock trio from the whimsings of sand and heartbreak.
Goomburrup (Bunbury) based Scumlings is the unapologetically loud sludgegaze quartet disturbing the neighbourhood at the erratic crossroads between art, memory and noise. With loyal roots to the DIY ethos, the band merges their nostalgic video game imagery with the scuzzy energy of internet horror to create a unique aesthetic associated with their sound.
