The Workers Club’s favourite festive tradition continues with A Very Ronson Christmas.
Are you dreaming of a Pink(o) Christmas?
The Ronson Hangup features the hardest-working man in showbiz, Ashley Naylor. But the band’s frontman, Steve Pinkerton, is out to rival Ash – for one night only.
A Very Ronson Christmas – at The Workers Club on Friday, December 20 – is a triple treat for Pinkerton fans. As well as The Ronson Hangup, the bill features Pinkerton Pendlebury, Pinko’s collaboration with sports star Andrew Pendlebury.
And opening proceedings will be Nayls & Pinko, the duo featuring Ashley Naylor and Steve Pinkerton.
As Jeff Jenkins recently remarked on RRR, “Too much Pinko is never enough.”
The Ronson Hangup – Melbourne’s favourite indie supergroup that also features Luke Thomas, Dave Mudie and Erica Menting – will be showcasing songs from their hit second album Centaurus. “A brilliant album – a genetic code firmly implanted from lush ’60s folk and yet one that reflects the zeitgeist,” (Backseat Mafia).
Pinkerton Pendlebury recently released their self-titled debut. In a four-star review, Rhythms raved about “a beguiling collection of sophisticated pop, its songs ambitious in scope but rendered timeless by the pair’s inherent chemistry and impeccable delivery”. The Pinkerton Pendlebury band features a stellar lineup: Sherry Rich, Steve Hadley and Jason Kain.
Nayls & Pinko proudly play “whatever they goddamn want – with overtones of ’60s and ’70s rock and a guilty pleasure or two”.

Venue Accessibility
The Workers Club (including the band room) is a wheelchair accessible venue. There is a ramped entrance into the front bar from Gertrude St that can be opened with staff assistance.
