The Graveyard Club - Blood of Another Single Launch
3 Femme-fronted bands and a night on fire with feminine rage, The Graveyard Club with special guests Seeing Violet and Whiplassh, launches the release of ”Blood of Another”. The Graveyard Club erupts on their first release since 2024 and a massive year of success in 2025 after winning the Access All Areas, Battle of the Bands.
4-piece femme and queer fronted, The Graveyard Club infuses a new rebellious spirit into the alt-rock/metal scene of Brisbane/Meanjin. Taking inspiration from Dead Poet Society, Rage Against The Machine and Sleep Token, a blend of lush vocal layering, gritty guitar tones, heavy bass, a twisted approach to melodic breakdowns and a love of impassioned storytelling are the cornerstones of The Graveyard Club's distinctive sound. With local record label, Vermilion, the band honed in on their sound with their debut EP “Cutthroat” in 2024 followed by locally loved spooky single, “Hex”.
For all who have been victims of violence, The Graveyard Club’s upcoming release “Blood of Another” imagines a rising tide that threatens to swallow the predators that lurk in our homes, streets and political offices like a siren song of revenge. The band turns the tide on the repetitive narrative that survivors are ‘luring’ predators to commit these acts of violence and calls out the systemic protections of privileged offenders that are constantly martyring innocents.
Special Guests:
WHIPLASSH is a female-fronted post-hardcore band from Nambour, Australia. Heavily inspired from the DIY hardcore and post-hardcore scenes of the 2000s, we wear our influences proudly. Our band captures the energy, passion and authenticity that made the genre so influential in the first place.
As part of a new wave of Australian post-hardcore, WHIPLASSH is helping bring fresh life to a genre that continues to resonate with a new generation of listeners while staying true to the spirit that made people fall in love with it decades ago.
Seeing Violet are a femme-fronted, furious and provocative powerhouse of alternative rock, tackling the tumultuous political landscape, ripping heartbreak, power struggles, and pertinent social issues in their music. Their debut EP, Sleepwalking, sees the four-piece take their biggest step yet, pushing their sound into a much more intense sonic territory reminiscent of early RATM and Paramore. In support of the EP, Seeing Violet are embarking on their first national tour of Australia in August/September, finishing up with their biggest show to date in their hometown of Brisbane.
