Making of a Musician Podcast Live
Featuring Jordan Bakker 9 Years later.

Jordan Bakker, a Melbourne based singer-songwriter has many attributes but having a collaboration that has reached over 1,000,000 listens and landed in at 2nd for 2020 in German Dance Charts is something worth talking about.

The podcast series Making of a Musician explores the raw, creative realities of muscians, receiving positive listener feedback for its intimate storytelling and deep dives into the songwriting process.
Reviewers and listeners highlight the show's authentic approach to capturing the non-traditional hours and behind-the-scenes emotional labour that goes into building a music career.

Making of a Musician Live is a live recording of the Making of a Musician podcast.
For 90 minutes, in front of an audience of 50, host Kristy Graham talks with Jordan Bakker about how his music has changed over the last few years and how his influences have changed since they last chatted in 2017.
Then Jordan Bakker closes the night with a 30-minute acoustic live set with some audience participation.

Jordan describes his music as “mostly … blues in essence”, ranging “from Latin to jazz to punk rock, alternative soft acoustic”. His live act and his recordings sit in different genres. Known as a Looper specialist Jordan Bakker plays blues-rooted acoustic sets in the city’s pubs and makes electronic music that finds its listeners in Germany.

Making of a Musician has 15 published interviews with different artists over the past 10 years and has listeners from over 35 countries around the world.
Hosted by Kristy Graham, a musician, it explores the music that impacts musicians and how they make music.

I am so excited to chat to Jordan 10 years later and listen to some of his latest or oldest music! Hope you can join us.

Listen to Jordan's first episode of Making of a Musician, published in March 2017.
