Malocchio Tour with Rose Inserra – Presented by Zep Bar

🇮🇹 Zep Bar presents the Malocchio Tour with Rose Inserra, as part of the 2026 Adelaide Italian Festival.

Step into the fascinating world of the Malocchio (evil eye) and discover the beliefs, rituals and traditions that have been passed down through generations of Italian families.

Join author and cultural storyteller Rose Inserra for an intimate exploration of Italian folk magic, folklore and ancestral wisdom. Rose will take guests through the traditions surrounding the Malocchio, the rituals historically used for protection, the meaning behind the cornicello and other protective charms, and the superstitions and customs that remain part of Italian culture today.

Drawing on stories and traditions from her book, The World of Italian Folk Magic, Rose will bring to life many of the beliefs our parents, grandparents and nonni grew up with — some familiar, some mysterious and some that may finally explain those things Nonna used to do but never quite explained! 🇮🇹❤️

Guests will also have the opportunity to ask Rose questions during a Q&A, followed by a book signing.
