Bustamento is Australia's premier calypso and mento outfit, a tropical-shaking five-piece led by four-time ARIA winner Nicky Bomba. Paying homage to the upbeat rhythms of the Caribbean, the band weaves calypso, mento, early reggae and ska with steel pan, Motown and New Orleans boogie into one party-filled island adventure. Their ARIA-nominated debut, "Intrepid Adventures to the Lost Riddim Islands", tapped the joyful, tongue-in-cheek source of the music that shaped ska and reggae, while follow-up "Intercontinental Journal 7" flexed a globe-trotting creative streak.
