This winter there's only one way to stay warm - by saving a cowboy, and riding a Drag King! The Kings have ganged together, seduced security, and stolen the keys to the Burdekin to take over the Juni stage for one night only. The boys are back in town on Sat 8 August alongside our fave DJs GK & KEAVSZ, plus KISSES & FUNLORO making their Juni debut.
Kings have been at the heart of queer rebellion for decades - mixing cabaret, comedy, hip hop, burlesque, and masculine drag. While our darling Queens often get the limelight, Kings are the underground legends and unsung trailblazers of queer nightlife - shaking up the stage, one smirk, crotch-grab, or kickflip at a time.
FEATURING (A-Z):
KAIZER - King of the gutter, serving major Billy Idol attitude.
RAVI-OLI - Bringing Indian fusion, hip hop, and pop-and-lock together in a high-energy performance.
JET-HO - Martial arts meets drag in a routine that's equal parts precision and power.
JOHNNY INEPT - AKA Lestat... a vamp-rock fever dream with leather, eyeliner, and bad decisions.
WILLIAM SHAKEASS - A Y2K pop prince straight out of your teenage bedroom walls.
