Fierce femme-led four-piece Filthy McNasty’s are releasing their highly anticipated debut album on the 10th of April and launching it with a bang on Sunday the 19th of April at the Bergy Bandroom. The self-titled LP is a dramatic yet playful journey across heartache, political angst and feminine rage; laced all the way through with punchy basslines, melodic riffs and striking lyricism. An ode to punk, grunge and all things DIY, filth lovers are in for a very tasty treat. The album launch at the Bergy Bandroom will feature an incredible lineup of genre-diverse rock acts, including staunch femme trio Operation Karma, mind-blowing prog-rock outfit Frons and Caustic Grip, the industrial solo project of Naarm music scene icon Scarlett Shred. Filthy McNasty’s singles ‘Intimacy’ and ‘Scum’ from the album have already made a mark on DIY communities in Naarm and internationally, with the latter having an unforgettable film clip recently released.
