The Killer Queen Experience is Australia’s premier tribute to Queen, delivering a powerhouse two‑hour show packed with the band’s greatest hits and fan‑favourite deep cuts. Formed in 2003, the show has grown from a local Brisbane act into an international touring production, performing across the UK, Europe, Asia, India, and the Pacific.
Frontman John Blunt has portrayed Freddie Mercury for over 20 years and is recognised globally for his uncanny likeness. His career highlights include starring in the UK docu‑drama The Freddie Mercury Story – Who Wants to Live Forever (ITV/Channel 5), appearing live to 7 million viewers on French television, and performing with Legends in Concert in the USA.
The band features Wayne Vitale (Bass – John Deacon), Kevin Shilling (Drums – Roger Taylor), and Andrew Edwards (Guitar – Brian May), recreating Queen’s iconic sound with authentic costumes, replica instruments, and live harmonies. Together, they have performed more than 1,000 shows across 10+ countries, sharing stages with artists including Jeff Beck, Foreigner, Journey, Twisted Sister, Thin Lizzy, and Kelly Rowland.
Major appearances include the 2019 Rhapsody Tour (54,000 attendees), Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, the Canberra Symphony Orchestra, and the Bohemian Rhapsody movie pre‑screening at Sydney’s Orpheum Picture Palace. The band has also been featured on Australia’s Got Talent, The Today Show, Today Extra, and multiple print publications.
With the enduring global love for Queen and the success of the Hollywood biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, The Killer Queen Experience continues to bring the spirit, energy, and legacy of Freddie Mercury and Queen to audiences worldwide.
