Ryan & Will **FREE ENTRY FRONT BAR GIG**

You know how sometimes there's that amazing part of the song where it drops down to just bass and drums and maybe handclaps? And you wish it would last for longer? Ryan Monro and Will Hull Brown know about it, and for this show they plan to make it last for the entire gig.

Ryan and Will have been playing bass and drums together since the 20th century. They spent 20 years with Melbourne favourites The Cat Empire, and more recently 5 years without them. They were two thirds of the fusion Myspace jamband that was The Genie. They've also been busy recently with organ-led prog rock outfit PSI PHI, accompanying prolific singer/songwriter Danny Ross, and backing up Melbourne legend Lior in the studio.

The common thread in the above is other instruments, and even vocals. This will be a rare outing. Still sitting up the back, but more in focus than usual. They will cover some of Ryan's sparser-than-sparse solo bass-and-drum-machines material, amongst two sets of songs from their favourite rhythm section innovators, songs they've interrupted soundchecks with for years, songs with bass and drum parts that hopefully tell enough of the story.
