Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Bindi Blacher has written and performed original songs for many years both solo and in diverse local Aussie bands. She’s dipped into genres such as acoustic, alternative, funk, rock and punk. Right now, she performs original songs solo, in a three-piece, or in the engine room as drummer for the feminist post-punk powerhouse which is The BandShe!
2026 will mark the release of FOOL AM I, a full-length album of original songs- due to be released in November!
Bindi released EP “KILTER” in 2023. She has previously released three albums of original music; “Coming Clean”, “Green Just Grows” and “Down”.
Influences include PJ Harvey, Emma Ruth Rundle and Missy Higgins. Releases are available on all streaming platforms, AMRAP and Bandcamp.
Bindi’s been gathering a few accolades in recent years as winner in the Songwriters Composers and Lyricists Association “Recorded” section 2022 and 2021, the “Rock” category in 2019, and finalist in the Tamworth Songwriters Association Salute Awards 2021.
