A proper soul night is coming to Nambour.

For the first time, Brisbane’s well-known Sounds of Soul DJs are bringing their legendary soul groove 7" vinyl sets to The Presynct, starting Saturday June 13th and continuing as a regular event.

This is not a digital DJ set. Everything is played the way it was meant to be — original vinyl records spinning all night. Expect a deep selection of 60s R&B, Northern Soul, Modern Soul, Funk, Jazz and rare groove pulled straight from the crates.

Sounds of Soul at The Presynct is about the music and the dancefloor.

If you’ve ever experienced a true Northern Soul event, you’ll know the ritual — the energy builds, the floor fills, and the dancers come alive.

In classic style, talcum powder will be laid down on the dancefloor to help those signature spins and slides glide smoothly across the floor.

Born in the UK in the late 1960s, the Northern Soul movement became famous for its passionate dancers, rare records and all-night dance culture. Decades later, the spirit of that scene is still alive — and now it’s coming to The Presynct.

Expect a welcoming crowd, incredible music, and a dancefloor full of people who simply love soul.

Whether you’re a lifelong soul collector, a dancer, or just someone who appreciates timeless music played properly on vinyl, Sounds of Soul at The Presynct is something special.
