Following on from last year’s sold out feminist punk retrospective of Melbourne Music, Rah! Rah! returns for a sequel event in 2020, looking at where feminism and punk have intersected as an ideology, a practice and a sound over the past four decades.

This 12 hr event across two venues on Sat 9th May brings together different generations of artists, thinkers and collectors for a day time session of talks panels and intimate performances at the Melba Spiegeltent, before stepping next door for a dirty rock show at the Tote.

The mega line up features female, femme and non-binary artists from Melbourne’s punk rock scenes, along with surprise renewals and performances from artists who are vital parts of this rad community. First snippets include:

Baby 8 | The Vovos | Parsnip | Empat Lima
Jenny McKechnie (Cable Ties) | Mill O'Sullivan (Porpoise Spit) | Marita Fitzgerald (Snodra) | Sylvie Leber (Toxic Shock)

Last year sold out, so in the week that beckons International Women’s Day with a focus on strength across generations, get your tix now and be a part of a statement that looks at legacy with a different lens.

Proudly presented by Sonic aGender with generous support from the City of Yarra.
