Descending on the Country Music Capital, Plague Dweller (Newcastle), Evocatus (Hunter Valley) & Devoid Altar (Sydney) join forces with locals Newway, for a night of heavy f’kn metal, at Moonshiners, Tamworth.
Introducing the bands:
PLAGUE DWELLER- Born out of frustration in 2020, Plague Dweller have rapidly established themselves as a formidable force within the Australian extreme metal scene and beyond. In a short time, they’ve shared the stage with international and national heavyweights including GUTSLIT (IND), GUTTALAX (CZ), Angelus Apatrida (ESP), Stalker (NZ), Psycroptic, Abramelin, Frankenbok, and Honest Crooks.
Emerging from the underground with the release of their debut full-length album, Devoured by the Cosmic Void. The concept-driven record fuses technical death metal with blackened atmospheres and dissonant progressive elements, exploring themes of existential annihilation, cosmic horror, and the futility of flesh. Crushing riffs, relentless precision, and layered soundscapes define the album’s sonic identity.
EVOCATUS- Hailing from the Hunter Valley, Evocatus are a 5-piece melodic battle metal band. Rich in death, folk, and symphonic elements, Evocatus are crafters of epic tales of myth and legend with crushing riffs, blistering solos, and soaring melodies.
DEVOID ALTAR are a dual vocalist five piece death/doom metal band from Sydney, Australia. With music that focuses on big riffs overlaid with aggressive vocals and haunting melodies, Devoid Altar deliver a crushing live show. Their Debut EP “Hymns of Corruption and Betrayal” is out now for streaming.
NEWWAY- Carves its own line. From Tamworth, they drive rolling riffs, hard-hitting drums, free rythyms and scorched-earth edge. The song dig deep in human grit, show up, plug in, and get down with NEWWAY.
