48 Bourbon Street
After 2 sell-out events in February 2018, Newcastle is getting another taste of New Orleans this summer and it’s promising to be even bigger and better!
Experience the colour & spice of this fascinating city as Nice Try presents 48 Bourbon Street. On Friday 15th February and Saturday 16th February, Newcastle’s 48 Watt St will once again transform it’s courtyard and indoor spaces into a N’awlins themed laneway, restaurant and jazz hall.
Chef Harry Callinan (Mulga Bills, Cooks Hill S.C, The Edwards) is once again calling on his time in the Big Easy and has prepped a brand new degustation menu featuring Po’ boys, Étouffée and a big ol’ summer Crab Boil! Once you’ve been fed, wash it down with NOLA craft beer or a classic cocktail such as the famous Hurricane.
The good times will roll all night with live music from The Rehab Brass Band, back again to give us a dose of those second line rhythms and dirty brass funk! Joining them this year is the Don Hopkins Duo whose music draws from the rich vein of blues and jazz of the 1920s and 30s through to the R&B, soul and gospel sounds of the 1950s and 60s with an emphasis on the New Orleans, piano styles and songs.
All tickets include 4 dishes per person.
Laisser les bon temps rouler!
