Minami Deutsch live at Lorne Theatre
Japanese psychedelic band MINAMI DEUTSCH will return to Australia in March 2024 with a special live performance at Lorne Theatre with Leah Senior on Sunday 10th, March at a special double venue Labour Day weekend show as part of Lorne Theatre and The Clam's Long Hot Summer Series.
The group made their Australian debut in December 2022, playing at Meredith Music Festival, Melbourne and Brisbane to sold-out crowds.
Plenty of Japanese bands have been inspired by the motorik pace of early-’70s German outfits, but Minami Deutsch focus on a particular period in krautrock history. Their earliest releases and self-titled 2015 debut album drew on the scene’s primordial days, particularly the locked-in rhythms of the first two Neu! albums.
The hunger Australia has for the Japanese talent continues to soar in a new direction, with the incredible primordial groovy Krautrock Minami Deutsch brings to the table.
