The Apartments with Peter Milton Walsh
Low 302 (Surry Hills, NSW)
Friday, 12 February 2027 7:00 pm
The Apartments are returning to LOW 302.
Led by singer songwriter Peter Milton Walsh with Tim Kevin on guitar and keyboards and Jeff Crawley on trumpet and percussion, this line up toured Australia and France in 2025-2026.
Opening for The Apartments are Sydney indie-rock band Team Building. Their literate, finely textured songwriting makes them a natural complement to The Apartments. This line up played Low 302 in October 2026 to launch The Apartments new album That’s What the Music is For.
The Apartments work now extends over 30 years and 10 albums. The Paris Review describes Peter Milton Walsh’s songbook as “…a world of smoke and gin and hazy regrets and horns and strings, like Leonard Cohen covering Sinatra’s In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning—what adult life could feel like if you were lucky, then unlucky.”
That’s What the Music is For was listed as #1 on Bandcamp’s Essential Releases. “It’s the kind of record that demands you stop what you’re doing and pay attention, then rewards your focus with careful, patient storytelling and heartbreaking melodies”
Expect a night of new and old songs and stories from the world of The Apartments as the 2027 Australian tour starts in Sydney.
