Marking 20 years since his debut, Eli Paperboy Reed returns to Australia with his soul-drenched live show, joined by Grammy® nominees, the Harlem Gospel Travelers, and Melbourne’s soulful The Meltdown.
Known for his sweaty, searing performances and raw authenticity, Reed continues to push boundaries with his heartfelt sound.
Reed celebrates his milestone with a vibrant new show, blending tradition with fresh, innovative energy. Two decades after busking in Harvard Square and honing his craft, the trailblazing soulman continues to write, sing, and perform on his own terms, delivering electrifying performances that connect deeply with audiences. Don’t miss this soul-stirring celebration that pushes gospel and soul into bold, exciting territory.
The Harlem Gospel Travelers, whose Reed-produced album Rhapsody earned a Grammy® nomination for Best Roots Gospel Album, will bring their dynamic gospel funk and fervent vocals to Australian audiences for the first time. Despite their name, the group members hail from across New York City, uniting through Harlem’s Gospel For Teens program, where they met Reed. Their exhilarating performances are a powerful testament to the transformative energy of gospel music.
Also joining the lineup are The Meltdown, Melbourne’s purveyors of southern soul from the Great Southern Land, featuring rich instrumentation with a blend of Stax and Motown vibes.
