Yasmine Hosseini / Wriding
Cactus Room (Thornbury, VIC)
Thursday, 19 March 2026 7:00 pm
An intimate night of music and projection at Cactus Room on High Street. Holly George’s echo-drenched soundscapes, Yasmine Hosseini’s lush trip-hop and acoustics and Wriding’s windswept arrangements combined with accompanying visual projections is something you won’t want to miss. An exploration of atmosphere even.
HOLLY GEORGE:
Holly George paints momentary sanctuaries of escape. As one audience member once put it, “like a therapeutic sonic bath I didn’t know I needed”. Blending soft, layered harmonies with echo-drenched guitars, intricate textures and misty vocals, Holly’s music gently lures you in, leaving you wondering when exactly you got lost.
YAS:
yasmine hosseini has lived many musical lives. from putting out an alt-rock album at 17, to an era of solo folk tunes, she is now based in melbourne with her current collaborative post-punk project, 'dogworld'. her never-ending thirst for creative expression has pushed her back into the solo world of performance, with a new suite of moody, lush, and poignant tracks that lean into trip-hop and acoustics in equal measures, and show yet another side of her musicality.
WRIDING:
Wriding are a slowcore band from Naarm. Their pastoral lyrics and windswept arrangements evoke a turbulent, drought-stricken desolation - and sometimes, the warm glow of a back door light left on. Tarago is their debut single.
TICKETS:
Presale - $15 + bf
