In this brand new eclectic show, award-winning guitarist Gwyn Ashton takes the audience on a journey through 100 years of guitar styles. From finger style acoustic folk, Americana, lap slide, Celtic and Delta bottleneck slide, to electric boogie, swamp rock and Chicago, Texas, Mississippi Hill Country and British blues, he plays it all with authenticity and dexterity on genuine period-correct instruments. With his palette of effects pedals, Ashton layers guitar, bass and organ sounds to create experimental soundscapes.

Blending in African and Indian rhythms on foot operated percussion and thumb picked bass guitar lines, he captivates and mesmerises his audiences, encouraging crowd participation with plenty of humorous banter and storytelling from a lifelong journey of being on the road through over 30 countries.

Ashton's talents have been recognized and praised by luminaries such as Robert Plant, Jackson Browne, David Crosby, Mick Taylor, Johnny Winter, Eric Johnson - all who have witnessed and commented favourably on Ashton's prowess. Over his 30+ year career he plays festivals, guitar shows, trade shows, workshops and venues across Europe, Australia, The Balkans, Russia, Brazil and Mexico.

He has toured with Status Quo, Peter Green, Canned Heat, Roger Chapman, Johnny Winter, The Yardbirds, Slade, Wishbone Ash, The Sweet, The Troggs, and Magnum. Ashton has co-headlined European festivals with Mick Taylor and Robben Ford, opened shows for Junior Wells, Van Morrison, Rory Gallagher, Buddy Guy, BB King, Robin Trower, Tony Joe White, Steve Hackett, Joe Louis Walker, The Fabulous Thunderbirds and Joe Bonamassa. Ashton has been invited onstage to perform with Mick Fleetwood, Hubert Sumlin, Canned Heat and many others. He was considered by Burke Shelley to join Welsh band Budgie and has appeared in an acoustic duo with former Black Crowes guitarist Marc Ford.

Signed to Virgin Records, France, in 2001 Guitar Part Magazine awarded Gwyn Ashton third position as Guitarist of The Year, first and second places went to Jeff Beck and Gary Moore. Ashton's albums have received numerous "albums of the year" awards by guitar magazine press and radio stations in many countries. He has had five Top Three "Tracks of The Week" in UK Classic Rock Magazine.

Ashton has recorded 10 albums, some with members of Robert Plant's, Rory Gallagher's and Alex Harvey's bands plus members of Deep Purple, Icehouse, Whitesnake and Guns N' Roses.
