Canberra-based blues outfit Key Grip returns to Adelaide on its Sashay to SA 2023 tour.  

Living by their motto, “It’s Gotta Swing”, Key Grip features Angela Lount and her always soulful vocals and Leo Joseph (piano) who have toured the Adelaide area a few times including in 2022 at the Wheaty in duo mode. Returning with the full band, they will paint a canvas with many shades of blues, with up tempo and slower tunes, tunes with tasty, interesting progressions, great lyrics and well, tunes that just need a bit of work to get right.  

Key Grip draws on a range of influences from stalwarts like Ella Fitzgerald, Percy Mayfield, Dr John, and Aretha Franklin, and will always feature a few original tunes as well.  At every gig Key Grip aims to take you on a tour of the blues and get you up and dancing.
