An Excuse to Sing: A Musical Showcase is a curated cabaret performance, celebrating the songs that performers rarely have the chance to share. This show brings together a diverse cast of emerging musical theatre artists, allowing them to perform without the barriers of shows or audition briefs. An Excuse to Sing highlights both classic and contemporary musical theatre repertoire in an intimate, performance driven song cycle. 

This show was created as a platform for expression and creative freedom, inviting audiences into a space where storytelling takes centre stage and performers are liberated to showcase material that resonates deeply with them. From heartfelt ballads, to show stopping ensemble numbers, An Excuse to sing aims to reflect the individuality and artistry of each member of the cast. 

Led by a passion for theatre and live performance, this musical showcase offers a dynamic and engaging evening for all. An Excuse to Sing is a celebration of voice, creativity, passion and the joy of sharing music simply because we can.
