The Admired

The Admired bridge the worlds between adventurous modern pop and nostalgic, 2000s–2010s emo - a direct reflection of the room their music was recorded in. That same Enmore bedroom where guitarist Max Jacobson worked his 9-5 was morphed into a DIY studio for The Admired, home to a bounty of 2000s magazines, cult classic DVDs, various music memorabilia and an enviable vinyl collection. Recording and producing their music quite literally in-house is a result of their DIY ethos and connection to the Sydney music scene - to build community from the ground up, and welcome it with open arms.
