Tin Town is the new collaboration between seasoned Australian artists Courtney Robb and Snooks La Vie. As a wife-and-husband duo, they deliver grounded, folk-country melodies and unfiltered storytelling. Their songs feel vulnerable but intentional – the kind of music that doesn’t need to raise its voice to be heard. Robb’s vocals are arresting in their honesty, textured and expressive, carrying the weight of the lyrics without overselling them. La Vie’s harmonica is a vital thread in the Tin Town sound - melancholic one minute, cutting the next - adding colour and character in all the right places. It gives their songs a sense of movement and mood that lingers long after the final note. Tin Town’s debut album "Down in the Dirt" is out now and features eleven original tracks, recorded with producer Ryan Martin John of Cactus Cactus Sound. Think folk, country, and blues in equal measure - best heard with a glass of red in hand and nowhere to be.
"...beautifully evokes a longing for country life from people who find themselves in the city" - James Black (Rockwiz, Mondo Rock)
JB Paterson is a roving blue-collar songwriter and producer. Inspired by traditional folk & blues music, appropriating ancient melodies with a strong focus on lyrics performed on guitar and piano. Compared to songwriters Neil Young, Townes Van Zandt and Bob Dylan. On his latest album, Whole World's Gone Mad, And So Have I, JB ventures into new territory, blending sharp social commentary, long narratives with his signature DIY sound. A departure from the gentle tones of Springtime is Coming, this latest work offers a raw, introspective edge. Recorded at his solar-powered cabin in Cedar Creek, the album comes to life with the dynamic contributions of his band throughout the process.
