'GROND-MAS EVE EVE EVE'
The Tote - Upstairs (Collingwood, VIC)
Sunday, 22 December 2024 7:00 pm
GROND are a three piece heavy garage psych band hailing from Naarm, specialising in relentless jams, mammoth breakdowns and high fuzzy energy. The three piece garage psych band had a big 2024, releasing their debut EP 'HIGH ANXIETY' featuring singles 'Vexed' and 'Yellow Mustard Shirt'. Now, to kick this year's fuckin head off, GROND are putting on a big show at the TOTE upstairs with mates Unscored, Sweatshop and Keyo Roses Flying Circus.
Unscored are a four-piece garage band based on Wurundjeri land. They fuse elements of punk, grunge, psych, indie rock, and whatever else they can think of to make songs about killer mould, bounty hunting aliens, and Shelly Duval on the set of the shining.
A noisy post-punk four piece looking to entertain and be outright loud, Naarm-based band Sweatshop find fun in the impossible to ignore violence of everyday, inspired by anxieties of the modern world and all things Australian Gothic. Setting tall tales of suburban dystopia, religious zealotry, hostile hospitality and misanthropic extremism to their own unique brand of post-punk, they hope to say something while still having a good time in the neverending pre-apocalypse.
Keyo Roses Flying Circus are an engaging punk rat rock n roll band of people who have been rolling around Melbourne throughout the year. Genre bending and loud and you shake it and stuff and that’s chill.
