Perth artist NEWPORT’s star shone brightly during a breakout 2025 and the New Year is already shaping to be even bigger. Fresh off a massive performance at the AO (Australian Open) Live, Newport has just been named as one of triple j Unearthed’s Top 10 Forecast artists to rise in 2026.

Written and produced in his own bedroom, Newport's SELDOM EP was a real music moment in 2025. Lead single INTERSTATE turned heads around the globe and has clocked more than 3.5m streams, while the body of work has surpassed 5m streams with multiple fan favourites including party starter HONEST. 
Next came his first & sold out national tour which saw extra shows added in multiple cities as fans flocked to experience the mass singalongs and energy of the Newport live experience.

Following this surging trajectory Newport finished the year with another two stand out singles – big live moment ONLY U and SLOW DOWN, which was his triple j breakthrough dominating the airwaves over the summer break. 
Now he brings his show and those singalongs to Adelaide for the first time with another exciting EP not too far away.
