Brower (NYC) Australian Tour
Rocking in Australia for the first time, New York City’s BROWER will bring their unstoppable rock’n’roll tour de force to Sydney for one headline show only!
Nat Brower is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist in NYC. In true punk spirit, Brower does everything himself: recording and producing in his low-budget bedroom studio, making his own album art, music videos and DIY merch. 2018’s Buzzsaws introduced Brower to a rock n roll audience hungry for power tool fuzz guitars coupled with glistening vocal melodies—the combo usually found on an unknown junkshop glam 45 from the 70’s. His follow-up full length, Flour (2024), while still drawing from the endless well of rock n roll glory days, showcased a more experimental, free-flowing songwriting style. It’s hard to fathom that Flour’s maximalist, Beach Boys-obsessed production and arrangements came out of a bedroom in Queens.
The live band features members of the Josephine Network, Dirty Fences, Hershguy Band, SUO, Nancy, and Mettalleg, the 4-piece band delivers a rock-and-roll showdown that is typically reserved for arena stages, namely when occupied by bands like Status Quo, Thin Lizzy, Cheap Trick, or the Beatles.
“Listeners have clearly benefited from Brower playing the long game, with their songwriting. Where Buzzsaws showcased Brower’s talent in a raw way, Flour really illustrates the depths of Brower’s musical capability, ability to harmonise, and write clever, memorable lyrics. Brower are a truly extraordinary band that can’t be pigeonholed.”
