UGLIEBOY

Naarm/Melbourne trio UGLIEBOY are embarking on an east coast tour in support of their sophomore EP, COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN, releasing August 5th. The tour opens August 14 at Melbourne’s Curtin Hotel, followed by dates in Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, and Newcastle.

The EP was independently produced/mixed by vocalist Oakley Boyd and mastered by Guy Faletolu known for his studio work with Amyl & The Sniffers, Way Dynamic, NPCEDE, and his live work with 2Charm, Ben Lee, Dear Seattle, Mallrat, Lithe, and Ski Mask The Slump God.

UGLIEBOY is a Melbourne Based alt rock trio formed by Oakley Boyd [Synth, Vocals], Gabe Murdoch [Guitar, Bass, Vocals], and Ari Danaher-Flavell [Drums]. Emerging in 2024 out of their shared love of alternative rock, trip hop, and electronic, the trio blend their penchant for noisy riffs and industrial textures with emotionally raw pop, drawing inspiration from the likes of Blonde Redhead and Massive Attack.

The lead single from the EP titled LIP SERVICE featured on ABC’s Rage as the program’s Wild One of the week, amongst accolades from Triple J Unearthed and 4ZZZ. The group’s debut EP, LOSING CONTROL [2025], received heavy rotation on Triple J Unearthed and was cited by current Triple J Music Director Claire Mooney as having a “dark, brooding, mysterious touch.”
