Terrible Muriel 'In My Head' single launch at the Tote front bar with Sylvia
Terrible Muriel is the loud and proud queer, feminist, post-punk love child of Naarm-based musicians Cinta (drums, lead vocals), Emmy (bass) and Kate (guitar). Taking inspiration from riot grrl icons Sleater-Kinney and women-fronted artists and bands like PJ Harvey, The Breeders, Warpaint, Love of Diagrams, Chastity Belt, Veruca Salt and more, Terrible Muriel’s all-original gigs are selling out venues, as loyal crowds devour the band’s juicy harmonies and catchy melodic hooks. Cinta, Emmy and Kate offer nods to the best of pop and alt-rock, but perhaps most enticing are their driving bass lines, eyewatering drum kicks and sumptuous guitar.
Terrible Muriel launch their debut single In My Head at the Tote front bar along with friends Sylvia, who do shy pop songs done loud, on Sunday afternoon, 19th of July.
