The Peppermints Debut Single Launch

The dynamic act ‘The Peppermints’ debut their first headline show at the Bergy Bandroom for the release
of their single ‘Make It Ugly’. Eden Beveridge-Wood and Monika Jurisic, the leading duo behind ‘The
Peppermints’, bring a pop, indie-rock sound to give you a night of unforgettable music. Their influence is
derived from artists like Alanis Morissette, Beabadoobee, and The Japanese House, creating an original
sound with the help of their talented live band.

Their single, ‘Make It Ugly’, features poignant lyrics that showcase shared experiences of the band’s
leading ladies, emphasised by the track’s catchy melodies and dramatic instrumentation. The duo’s first
collaborative original also features on Season 3 of ‘By Popular Demand’, created by the students and
educators of Monash University’s Bachelor of Music.

Meeting at university studying music, Eden and Monika instantly became inseparable, bonding over
shared life experiences, different passions and, of course, music. Their friendship and blending of
personal music styles makes them a dynamic duo unlike any other, sharing their passion with the
Melbourne music scene.
