Two years of late nights, packed dancefloors, touring talent, local legends, and one very loud sound system.

Since opening the doors, Sound has become a home for Bendigo nightlife — a place built on good music, community, and weekends that somehow turn into mornings. To celebrate turning two, we’re throwing another huge birthday weekend packed with throwback parties, headline DJs, and a Sunday session dedicated to the people who’ve helped shape the Sound culture from day one.

FRIDAY JUNE 5 – “BAD ROMANCE: 2000s PARTY”

We kick things off with a full Y2K takeover as Bad Romance lands at Sound bringing peak 2000s energy, nostalgic party anthems, and dancefloor moments straight from the iPod Nano era.

Earlier in the night, Drag Bingo returns with another stacked edition featuring queens, cocktails and prizes before the party rolls on late into the night.

SATURDAY JUNE 6 – “SIXTEN & FRIENDS”

Saturday night, we welcome one of Australia’s biggest and most in-demand electronic artists to Bendigo.

Melb-based DJ and Producer Sixten is consistently pumping energy into dancefloors as well as Soundcloud playlists with high-octane sets that lift the spirit of club-goers and provides digital listeners with a playful versatility across his discography.

Backed by a stacked local lineup, expect wall-to-wall energy from open to close.

SUNDAY JUNE 7 – “KINGS BDAY EVE FT. SOUND SYSTEM”

For Kings Birthday Eve, we hand it back to the crew.

Sound System — the high-energy b3b featuring Matt Mitchell, Coda Section, Daniel, and Daniel Clohesy — takes over for a headline set built for peak-time dancefloors and late-night moments.

This one’s all about celebrating the people who’ve helped build the Sound culture over the past two years, so we’re giving back properly with freebies throughout the night.
