It has clawed itself free… The night of darkwave, gothic splendour and sonic decadence as Chiron celebrates the release of their new album, A Dark Beauty!
Join us for a monolithic evening of live music featuring Velatine, Double Happiness, Ghost Hacked, The Revenant… and of course Chiron, with intermission entertainment by DJ Naja. Shadowy melodies, unusual atmospheres and gothic revelry as we gather to celebrate dark, locally grown and independent music.

Celebrating the release of their new album, A Dark Beauty! Darkwave, gothic, flourishes of avant-garde and metal. The talents of Ikon’s former vocalist Michael, and bassist Dino join the stage with Ivan from Minorarc, to deliver equal measures grace, introspection and bleak heaviness.

Velatine is an established project on the edge of the darkwave, coldwave and gothic scene from Australian producer / composer Loki Lockwood and various guest artists. Velatine injects a unique and fresh sound to these genres full of powerful themes and dark aesthetics.

Double Happiness

Described by one pundit as “Australian Molchat Doma”, post punk act Double Happiness draws heavily from the pools of darkwave and shoegaze, with influences from Boy Harsher, Slowdive, and a roster of 80s Synthpop acts. Lyrics, telling of insomniac delusions, are driven by drum machines and delay pedals, which oscillate between atmospheric ambience and violent electropunk.

Ghost Hacked

Ghost Hacked is a fresh darkwave and post-punk act formed by multi-media artists and local legends: Mark Bakaitis (Psych Carni) and Mark Zombo (Rupture, CKA).
The duo blend corroded synths, krautrock rhythms, fuzz bass and tape delayed vocals, that conjure both the whirling cosmos and the drowning abyss.
Ghost Hacked’s lyrical soundscapes embrace dystopian themes involving a world of illness, loss, societal unrest and the occult.
Ghost Hacked haunt the senses like an hallucinatory cathode ray tube.

Anthony Cornish (Eden, The Hour) has congregated a group with serious 90s darkwave and alt-rock heritage in the form of The Revenant. The voice of Pete McKeown (Ember) aches and drifts over the brooding guitar and synth atmospherics made with long time collaborators Tim Anstice and Julian Lyngcoln. Meet you in the reverb trails.

DJ Naja has been a fixture of Melbourne’s Goth scene since 2008 and currently holds residencies at two of the city’s established venues, Elysium and Fang.
Her sets weave together classic Goth, Goth Rock, Darkwave and Post-Punk, blending iconic favourites with contemporary releases. Whether creating an atmospheric, intimate setting or driving a packed dancefloor, she tailors each set to the energy and character of the event.
With an international track record spanning Europe, DJ Naja has performed at a range of Goth and Vampire events, including the official She Past Away after-party and The History of Goth at Gothic Rock Milano in Milan, Teddy Boy Bar in Athens, the Porto Vampire Ball in Portugal, Vampires Party in Madrid, Sunday Lullaby in London and the Danse Macabre Vampire Ball at Montsalvat.
Drawing on nearly two decades of experience, DJ Naja delivers immersive, carefully curated sets that celebrate the depth, diversity and enduring spirit of Goth music.
